The 848, 1098 and 1198 engines all drop right into each other's frame, but the main difference between these models is between the Superbike and the Streetfighter.

DESMO Ducati Owner's Club 17th Annual BBQ and Bike Show

This will be my fifth consecutive barbecue and bike show since joining DESMO, the New York and Tri-State area's officially recognized Ducati Owner's Club.

Filipacchi New York

I had a chance to stop into a new motorcycle and riding apparel store called Filipacchi a few months back, and though I was quick to Instagram the moment at the time, I just realized I never posted anything about this great new store.

Brooklyn Moto Custom Carbon Fiber 1198S Ducati

Coming back from Joshua's house, Mark from Brooklyn Moto had invited me to come to a motorcycle BBQ in Brooklyn, and watch MotoGP, the fifth round taking place in Le Mans in France.

Oil and Ink Expo at Jane Motorcycles

I rode with my friends Jared and Chris straight from Motorcycle Mall's European Demo Day in New Jersey, straight to the Oil and Ink Expo in Brooklyn, an exhibition of motorcycle art hosted by Jane Motorcycles.

Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Show 2015

I didn't ride much this weekend, as my ST3 sits languishing on the street, and on Sunday afternoon I was sitting, reading on my balcony, when I saw an email from Union Garage mentioning the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride next weekend, and the 7th Annual Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Rally today, which I had totally forgotten.

Woodstock Weekend at Richie Haven's House on the 45th Anniversary of the '69 Festival

I wound up wandering around Woodstock this weekend, weirdly ending up at Richie Haven's house, on the 45th anniversary of the famous music festival in 1969. Richie Haven's was the first act to perform at Woodstock

DESMO's 15th Annual Oil Spill at European Cycle Services

I spent this blustery Saturday morning at the two nearest Ducati motorcycle shops outside of New York City, picking up my 996 from Rockwell Cycles, and heading over to DESMO DOC's 15th Annual Oil Spill at European Cycle Services (ECS).

Hipster Mayhem: 6th Annual Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Show 2014

I was planning on visiting a few friends down at the track at Thunderbolt this weekend, but first  I wanted to check out the Brooklyn Invitational Custom Motorcycle Show, which I stumbled on last year.  Williamsburg is the hipster epicenter of the free world, and I was expecting a bunch of sick bikes, most that can't be ridden too far or too fast, some of which are incredibly built; others that are just incredibly loud.

Custom Triumph Chopper off Bowery

Though I'm not a huge fan of the genre, I stumbled on this pretty custom Triumph chopper out making a fancy Saturday beer run to my favorite spot in the city, New Beer, on Chrystie between Rivington and Delancey on the Lower East Side.

Sexy Modded Ducati GT1000 SportClassic on Orchard Street
Ok, so there might be something wrong with me.  I just spent a couple hours watching a rather provocative burlesque show at The Slipper Room on the Lower East Side, but the sexiest thing I saw all night was parked across the street on Orchard Street and Stanton.

This totally naked custom GT1000 was custom painted (you don't see too many in all black), what looked like motocross tires, clip-ons, a full tail chop and a funky exhaust.

I was out riding with my girlfriend around Central Park, then out to Queens and down into Brooklyn, when we stumbled on several hundred rowdy bikers (see Harley guys burning rubber above).  We stopped, and besides the bikers, were hundreds of custom motorcycles, mostly of the chopper variety.
There weren't too many Italian bikes (I only spotted a few Ducatis and a Guzzi or two), but there were plenty of Harley Davidsons and Triumphs.

Weird, Can Am 3 Wheel Scooter?

Ok, so this isn't a Ducati, but it was a bizarre bike.  I stumbled across this Dodge Prowler-style scooter chained to a lampost in Chinatown.  I couldn't find a make, so I'm not sure if it was custom scooter or just another weird bike out of China (of which there are tons in downtown NYC).

Major Mods on this Magnificent Monster

I'm not sure if this was for sale, or just in the shop at Rockwell Cycle, but this was one of the wildest monsters I've ever seen. No cans, just baffles, twin-headlights, custom painted chromo tank, aftermarket belt-covers, open clutch cover, custom guages and carbon fiber everywhere and  spoked, tubed rims.
