I have been in Last Vegas this week (for the first time somehow...), as an Inman Ambassador for Inman Connect Last Vegas.
Here I am interviewing someone at Quicken Loans.
While I'm here, I decided to stay an extra day and try to rent a bike, and obviously if I can... a Ducati.
My buddy Dave tried to put me touch with someone at Ducati Las Vegas, but they never returned my calls, so decided to try out something called Riders-Share, a peer to peer ride sharing app my buddy Jerry had been talking about for a while.
Lo and behold, I found a Ducati Hypermotard 939 SP for about $100 a day, and as I was only really going to have the bike overnight, that was perfect.
I picked the bike up from a kid named Will, who also rented me a helmet, gloves and jacket (which I had prearranged earlier, as this more than offset the extra luggage cost).I immediately took the bike down the strip, and did a little lap in the city of sin.
I get free parking at the Cosmopolitan, so I'm going to get an early night tonight (I'm supposed to go to a Zillow party at the W (the old Mandarin Oriental) and be in a reasonable time tomorrow.
I'm absolutely loving this ride-sharing thing though.
