After a rather lengthy trip back to Pennsylvania last week by bus, my girlfriend and I met up with my brother in-law and went riding out from Giegertown out to Adamstown, PA. He's the Ducati expert in the family, and rides a Cagiva Gran Canyon, and I I took the ST3 out for the first time recreationally.
There is some great riding out between Reading and Amish Country, with tons of twisties and beautiful rural farm country. We were tempted to stop by Stoudts Brewing, but it was a little early for beer, so we pulled off for lunch at Angelo's Pizza in Reinholds.
There was much more snow out west, and the roads were still covered in salt, but my new ST3 handled the roads and a passenger like it was designed to. The ST3 feels much more stable than my Monster, especially with my clip on bars, that give it a really agressive rake.
After our ride, we checked my fluid levels and bled the clutch lines. Adjusting to a new bike is always a bit of a challenge, especially with a Ducati gearing, and I was having trouble finding neutral, but a bubble came out of the clutch line, so I hope we found the issue.
