I skipped out on Dreamforce a little early this year, to come down to Saratoga, California for my friend Patty's Desmo Silicon Valley Bike Night.

In fact, the bike night, at the Bramble & Bier was home to a semi-regular bike night for all of the Bay Area clubs (BADOC, Golden Gate Ducati, etc), not just DesmoSV.
 I got a chance to catch up with Patty, her awesome BF Eric and her club,
 as well as meet up with other club presidents, like BADOC president Kevin Burgess.
 The beers were fantastic, and the company even better.
 Saratoga is located right next to Silicon Valley, so Google and Apple employees are everywhere.
 But Ducatisti are ubiquitous.
 It's amazing how different California can seem, and yet so many diverse people with totally different backgrounds and outlooks come together around Italian motorcycles.
 As the night set over the Octoberfest "bier" hall, I looked forward to hopefully getting to ride a little bit,
 through the Bay Area and out of Silicon Valley tomorrow.
